Before & After School Programs
After-School Programs Offer More Learning and Support
After-school programs provide students with a safe environment where they can receive nurturing support and consistency from people they trust.
Homework Help
This after-school program provides extra support for students who are English-Language Learners or students who would go home to empty homes because their parents work later into the evening. Volunteers provide help so scholars can complete their homework.
Latchkey
Ascension’s Latchkey program serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The students are given extra academic instruction and homework help in a safe and nurturing environment. There are designated hours for tutoring, Homework Help, games, creative arts and more. The program runs from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday every week and includes a snack.
Youth Center
Ascension School’s Youth Center is for scholars in grades 6-8. The Center provides students with supervised homework time, tutoring and other after-school programs to engage students in quality endeavors. The Youth Center is open Monday through Friday from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
NAZ Latchkey Academy
This specialized reading and math enables students registered with a NAZ Connector to gain academic support. The scholars also receive a snack and transportation home. The program runs from 2-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2-4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
