Re-Enroll Your Child Now
Welcome new and returning families! We are honored that you have chosen Ascension Catholic School for your scholar(s) and are thankful for the opportunity to work with you to help provide a wonderful educational experience. With the 2019-20 school year quickly approaching, there are some important dates to place on your calendar.
Thursday, Aug. 29 – Registration from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Back to School Block Party from 4 – 7:30 p.m.
We ask that all families attend our Registration and Back to School Block Party. This is a great opportunity to meet staff and your scholar’s teachers, finish the enrollment process, turn in important documents, sign up for extracurricular activities, purchase used uniforms, and communicate your after school plan directly with the teacher. It is important for teachers of our younger scholars to know before the first day of school whether a scholar is going to ride the bus, get picked up at dismissal (1:50 p.m.), or is signed up to attend one of our after-school programs.
The following documents are to be submitted this day if you have not done so:
- Application for Free or Reduced meals, Application for Free or Reduced meals Spanish
- The school records for new scholars or signed Records Request
- Birth certificates for kindergartners
- Health Information Form; Health Information Form – Spanish
- Immunization records for kindergartners, new scholars, and 7th grade scholars
Tuesday, Sept. 3 – First day of School for all scholars K- 8.
All scholars should arrive in full uniform at 7:15 a.m.; school begins promptly at 7:30 a.m.
If you reside in North Minneapolis and have requested transportation, a postcard from Minneapolis Public Schools will be mailed 1 week before school begins stating bus stop and pick up/drop off times. It usually takes a week or two to get the timing down for all bus routes. Please be patient and do not panic if the bus is late.
