WIDA Access 2.0 Assessment (Only for English Language Learners)
- Is given annually to monitor students’ progress in learning academic English
- Meets U.S. federal requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for monitoring and reporting ELLs’ progress toward English language proficiency
- Corresponds to the WIDA English Language Development Standards
- Assesses the four language domains of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing

MCA-III State Standardized Test: Our 3-8 scholars participate in the MCA-III test for math and reading every spring. The purpose of MCA-III reading and math tests is to measure achievement and proficiency of the Minnesota Academic Standards and measure academic progress of students over time. It also allows us to reflect on how well we are serving our students compared to similar neighborhood schools.
NWEA MAP GROWTH: Our K-8 scholars participate in three testing terms a year: fall, winter and spring. Scholars are assessed in both math and reading.
MCA/NWEA Calendar:
Grades 7-Grade 8: MCA Reading: March 12-March 14
Grade 3-Grade 8 MCA Reading (Includes Grades 7 and 8 that did not test 3/12-3/14): March 19- March 21. (3.5-4 hours)
Grade 3: April 21, April 22, and April 23 (2-3 hours)
Grade 7 and Grade 8: April 20- April 23 (2.5-4 hours)
Grade 4-Grade 6 MCA Math: April 15 and April 16 (2-3 hours)
SPRING NWEA MAP Reading and Math: Kg – 2nd Grade: April 20-April 24
SPRING NWEA MAP Reading and Math: Grade 3 – Grade: All Grades: April 27-May 8
