Ascension Catholic School has been an asset in North Minneapolis since 1897, with a mission to move generations forward through education.

Although many of our students come from other faith backgrounds, at the foundation of our school is its Catholic identity. Our school operates in conformance with the laws, teachings, and doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. It is committed to inviting all into a relationship with Jesus Christ through teaching of the Catholic faith, values, and practices and to integrating these core values into all academics. This integration of Catholic faith and values with life distinguishes the Catholic school from other schools.

Members of our community strive for growth in their relationship with Jesus through Bible study, our relationships with once another, prayer, religious instructions, service, and values.

Ascension Catholic School’s Mission demonstrates its commitment to the Catholic faith and the social justice teachings of the Catholic Church.

Our scholars receive regular religious instruction and attend mass as a school community each month.
