Uniforms

Our Iconic Red Sweaters

Ascension scholars are immediately recognized by their bright red sweaters. Our scholars wear uniforms because doing so encourages discipline, removes socioeconomic barriers and eases peer pressure.

Girls’ Uniform

Girls may wear a gray skirt, pants, (or shorts from the first day of school until 9/30 and from 5/1 until the last day of school) with a white knit polo shirt (short or long sleeve) and a red (lipstick color) sweater vest, pullover, or cardigan. Black stretch knit leggings that can be purchased at Donald’s can be worn with skirts. ​If you have a question, please ask it before you purchase. We want to make sure your child is properly attired in the regulation uniform. All skirt hems must touch the middle of the knee all the way around.

Boys’ Uniform

The boys must wear gray pants (or shorts from the first day of school until 9/30 and from 5/1 until the last day of school) with a white knit polo shirt (short or long sleeve) and a red (lipstick color) sweater vest, pullover, or cardigan. These must be purchased at Donald’s Uniform Store. If you have a question, please ask it before you purchase. We want to make sure your child is properly attired in the regulation uniform.

Boys and Girls

• Fashion boots, outdoor boots, moccasin boots will not be allowed to be worn in the school building. A​thletic shoes are the best option for all scholars.
• Uniforms must be kept clean.
• Shirts must be tucked in.
• No oversized or “sagged” pants.
• No tight pants.
• No facial jewelry allowed.
• No unnaturally colored dyed hair.
• No makeup allowed.
• Socks must be black, white, or red with no designs.
